Jo, was born in New York City, of Cuban-American parents , he has an older brother and mentor. He travels nationwide and is currently based in Miami, Florida close to his family and pets.

Before his love for film and photography, he had a promising athletic career which ended abruptly with injury. After a lot of soul searching he took to learning the camera going on to follow in the family's creative footsteps.

Jo's, lessons on the playing field have been very useful in applying them to his new career. "My skills in making decisions as well as a trained eye, and leadership play out very often during my photo shoots".

His career has gone full circle. It began with the love of film which introduced him to photography and paving his way to writting, producing and directing his first feature film. He has an excellent feel for balanced composition, color and all lighting situations on location. 

His images are a testament to life that is constantly happening all around him. "Photography at its very best is completely unpredictable. You have to anticipate what will happen and where it will happen. I like my photography to be clean, pure and of real moments".
